Sanjukta Wagh has acquired intensive training in the Kathak Dance form under the able and sustained guidance of Guru Smt. Rajashree Shirke. She is a performer, choreographer and teacher of Kathak. She has worked in the field of Classical Dance for several years as a leading performer, assistant choreographer, teacher and researcher at Lasya, an organization, run by Guru Smt. Rajashree Shirke and Shri Vaibhav Arekar. She has participated in many of Lasya's major Dance and Dance-Theatre productions and performed at prestigious conferences and festivals in Mumbai and across the country including The Nrityanjali Dance Festival, [Ahmedabad], Taj Milan Festival, [Agra], National Kathak Festival and NSD Ranga Mahotsav [Delhi], YATRA: National Dance Festival, [Mumbai] among others. Her solo performances have been appreciated by dance connoisseurs and audiences at the RAINDROPS Festival of Dance, NCPA, TIFR’s International Conference at The Homi Bhabha Auditorium and the Fifth Asian Steel Conference held in Mumbai.
